Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use lesbiansupperclub.com, our community features (accounts, Overheard and the Room) and our events, all run by Lesbian Supper Club ("LSC", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over to create an account or attend our events.

3. Your account

  • Give us accurate information when you sign up.
  • Keep your login secure and do not share it.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One account per person, please.
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

4. Community rules

LSC is a queer community space. Be kind to each other. You must not post or upload anything that:

  • harasses, threatens, bullies or discriminates against anyone;
  • is hateful, including anything that targets someone for who they are;
  • is sexually explicit, or involves anyone under 18;
  • shares someone's private information, or identifies a person without their consent (Overheard stories should not name or identify people);
  • is illegal or infringes someone else's rights;
  • is spam, advertising, or pretends to be someone else.

We can remove any content and any account at our discretion, and we will act on reports.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. When you submit a story or photo you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store it and display it on the site. For Overheard stories, that also lets us feature the wording on the podcast and our social channels, without your name. We will not use your photos on our social channels or anywhere else without asking you first.

You confirm that you have the right to share what you submit, and that anyone who appears in a photo is happy for it to be shared.

We review submissions before they appear and we are not obliged to publish anything. You can ask us to remove your content at any time by emailing us.

6. Overheard

Overheard is for fun. Stories are members' own accounts and are not verified. Nothing there is advice or fact, and we are not responsible for what members post. Stories appear without your name, but please read our Privacy Policy to see how we handle the account behind each story.

7. Events and tickets

  • Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, and Eventbrite's terms apply to your purchase.
  • Refund and transfer terms are set out on each event page.
  • We may change, move or cancel an event. If we cancel, we will refund tickets through Eventbrite.
  • Venues have their own rules. Please follow them and any instructions from staff.
  • We may take photos at our events for the site and our social channels. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of the team on the night.
  • Alcohol may be served at our events. Please drink responsibly.

8. Waitlists and the store

Joining a waitlist is not a booking, a purchase or a guarantee of a place or product. The LSC Store is not open yet, and separate terms will apply when it is.

9. Our content and brand

The Lesbian Supper Club name, logo, design and everything we create on the site belong to us or our licensors. Please do not copy, reuse or sell them without asking first. You are always welcome to share links to the site.

10. Availability

We try to keep the site running smoothly, but we provide it as it is. It may be paused, changed or unavailable at times, and we cannot promise it will always be free of errors.

11. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by members.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time by emailing us. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we will update the date at the top, and continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them.
