Lesbian Supper Club ("LSC", "we", "us") runs the Lesbian Supper Club podcast, our in-person events and this website, lesbiansupperclub.com. We are based in London, UK, and we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Questions about your data? Email hello@lesbiansupperclub.com.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Overheard stories appear publicly without your name, email or profile. However, each story is linked to your account in our system so that we can moderate the community, and our moderators can see who submitted a story. We do not share that information with other members. We would only disclose it if the law requires us to, or to protect someone's safety.
Please do not post anything that identifies or could harm another person.
Photos you upload to the Room are reviewed by us before they appear. Attendee photos are shown for up to 48 hours after you upload them. Files can remain in our storage after they stop being displayed, so if you want a photo permanently deleted, email us and we will remove it.
We also publish our own photos from events in the Room. If you appear in a photo and would like it taken down, email us and we will remove it promptly.
We use trusted providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf, except Google and Eventbrite, which run their own services and have their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on approved safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a login session so that you stay signed in, which is essential for the site to work. When you open the Eventbrite ticket window, Eventbrite may set its own cookies under its own policy.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of this, email us from the address linked to your account and we will reply within one month.
To delete your account, email us and we will delete your profile and account details and remove your stories and photos, normally within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Our events and community are for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account.
We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
